How to Bridge Your Cardano $WMTX to Base Network for Premier Staking

Introduction

Many in the World Mobile community have reached out asking: “How do I bridge my $WMTX from Cardano to Base network so I can participate in Premier Staking?” The process is straightforward but involves two steps. Below, I’ll walk you through it, with screenshots included for clarity.

Step 1 — Bridge $WMTX from Cardano to Ethereum

First, we move $WMTX from the Cardano chain to the Ethereum chain using SingularityNET’s Bridge.

Instructions:

1. Connect both wallets:

   • Ethereum wallet (MetaMask recommended).

   • Cardano wallet (Nami, Eternl, Lace, Flint, Gero, or Typhon are supported — see screenshot below).

2. Select $WMTX as the token you want to bridge.

3. Enter the amount to bridge.

4. Confirm the transaction.

This will transfer your $WMTX to the Ethereum network.

Step 2 — Bridge $WMTX from Ethereum to Base Network

Now that your $WMTX is on Ethereum, the second step is to move it to Base Network using Transporter.

Instructions:

1. Connect your MetaMask (or chosen EVM wallet).

2. Select Ethereum → Base as the bridge path.

3. Choose $WMTX and the amount you’d like to send.

4. Confirm the transaction.

⚠️ Important:

• You’ll need a small amount of ETH on Ethereum to cover the gas fee for this bridge.

• Once on Base, you’ll also need ETH on Base for transactions and staking. You can either:

  • Buy ETH on Coinbase, Kraken, or another CEX and withdraw directly to your Base wallet.

  • Or purchase ETH on Aerodrome once you’re on Base.

Step 3 — Base → World Mobile Chain (Mainnet)

With World Mobile Chain live on mainnet, we’re beginning to see projects building directly on it.

This step isn’t required for Premier Staking, but it’s a powerful option for anyone looking to interact with the native WMC ecosystem as it grows.

At this point, your $WMTX is successfully bridged from Cardano → Ethereum → Base. You are now ready to join Premier Staking on Base and take advantage of the new staking mechanics.
